Goddy (khaki) & the Ambassadors in his Omajiji-ji 70s

Every now and then you come across a record, and you think Wow, this guy is no beginner, why have i never heard of him before?
And even after searching the net, you still don't know anything about him.
Here is my latest 'discovery': Goddy (khaki) & the Ambassadors in his Omajiji-ji 70s. Fine name for a band, isn't it? A very laid-back type of highlife, with a latin touch.

Igbo cheghara
Ps. Fine cover too! Anybody has information about Goddy Ezike?

I agree about the cover, beautiful and almost cubist.

This outspoken Igbo highlife great known as Goddy Ezike was indeed a rare talent and well liked in Ibo land. Thanks for this gem of a track!

Goddy (Khaki) is the same person as Godwin (Goddy) Chukwuemeka Mbamara Ezike a.k.a Khaki is not a leather.
He hails from the town of Amichi Anambra State Nigeria-Biafra. He is the son of a local popular traditional dancer called Humphrey Mbamara Ezike.
He did is musical apprentice with the greatest Highlife music Maestro- Chief Stephen Osita Osadebe before going solo in the mid 70s. His first album is called UWA NTOO. He has since renamed his band from Omajiji-ji 70s (meaning earthquake 70s) to Black Brothers. So if you’re looking for his recent works, always search for Prof Goddy Ezike and His Black Brothers Band, under the label- ROGERS ALL STARS RECORD AWKA ANAMBRA STATE. I hope this info helps.
